Above The Rim

Above The Rim (Sutton, 2011) is a tall bearded iris reaching 34" (86 cm), blooming midseason to late with reliable rebloom. Its standards are a rich yellow, paling at the edges, complemented by yellow style arms. The falls are white, blending into a bluebird blue band three-quarters down, accented by yellow shoulders, veining, and a distinct 1/4" red-purple edge. Yellow-orange beards and ruffled petals add further appeal, along with a slight spicy fragrance. Above The Rim has demonstrated rebloom performance in CA, MT, and TX (USDA Zones 4b, 8, 9) and was awarded an Honorable Mention in 2013. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
