Irises - Historic

When an Iris reaches 30 or older, they are identified among the historic varieties. Irises have the same genetics as the mother rhizome when divided at the rhizome. Irisarians have been tracking iris lineage for centuries. Our field has irises confirmed to date back to the 1500s. We know irises have been revered and cherished in gardens dating back to before the time of Christ. *To note - for our first season we are short on photos of our blooms. We are temporarily using photos captured from the American Iris Society Wiki. All rhizome clumps will be bloom verified before sending to you.
